Mad Men Style

For those of you who haven’t had this day programmed in their phone for months, today is the release of Banana Republics 3rd Mad Men Collection (none of the clothes I included are actually from that collection). I’m not going to lie I’m a little disappointed but oh well that won’t stop me from purchasing a few items and wishing I lived in the 60s. Three women stick out as main characters on the show and each have very different styles.

Joan: It really angers me that Hollywood calls Christina Hendricks fat. I think she is one of the most beautiful actresses in movies or tv currently and I specifically love Joan. She speaks her mind and gets what she wants. Her style highlights her curves while being office appropriate.

Peggy: Peggy’s style is very conservative. In the early seasons, Peggy’s style was so basic and almost boring but now as she progresses in her career her style progresses too.

Betty: Despite Betty being difficult and cold, I still love her. Plus who wouldn’t love someone married to Don Draper? I also love Betty’s horse back riding outfits. It makes me want to pretend I still ride horses just to walk around in her classic outfits. Screen Shot 2013-02-27 at 11.22.01 AM
